Founded this year, Gurubite.com is an online marketplace for busy individuals (or companies) from all parts of the world to outsource their works to freelancers. The current fast paced society does not allow individuals to do everything by themselves. Trying to hire locally is often impractical and costly, and can sometimes result in taking even more time. All projects range from $5 to $50, this make it affordable to anyone who needs to outsource.
Gurubite.com makes it easy to find freelancers to help out. All the hirer needs to do is to do a simple search of the keywords. For example, if the hirer needs someone to design logo, search “design or logo”. Alternatively search for the relevant category such as “Graphics”. If there is no search or category, a wishlist can be created. “I’m looking for someone who will…” All freelancers' job expertise can also be shared over 90 social media platforms to build traffic.
Market is Global
Both the hirers and freelancers come from any part of the world. This allows hirers to capitalise legally on the cultural and talent diversity on an easily accessible and user-friendly platform-all with a click online. Tasks such as language translations, graphics design, or travel itinerary planning etc. Freelancers can also earn extra income as they work flexibly, at home or after work. In many countries, domestic market is tight, and job market is highly competitive. Gurubite.com therefore presents job opportunities globally and address this economic gap.
Where the money is made
Whenever a hirer orders a task from the freelancer, a fee is taken by admin. As the tasks are not complicated, the volume of transactions can be very high per freelancer. It is not surprising that this is a billion dollar industry.
Effort to run the business
Little effort is required to run the business. Unlike brick and mortar business with physical outlets, there is no overhead expenses (like rental, service staff) for e-commerce. The only fees will be server and domain fees which are insignifant (less than $100 per year). The system is a smart one, with all transactions and notifications made to be automated.
We are looking for investors or partners for cash infusion, for a substantial stake in the business. If you would like to acquire us totally, this shall be negotiable too. In both cases, part of the investment capital will be used to develop a mobile app. As this is a start-up but fast gaining visibility, if you are looking for short-term ROI, this opportunity is NOT for you :) Our vision is to be acquired multi-fold one day for the hard work we put in.
